“Liberal arts: Leadership in Education” took place in Mykolayiv and Volyn!

Liberal Arts is a platform for proactive educators who support the lifelong learning model.

👉 Almost 300 educators from Mishkovo-Pohorilivska OTG and Lutsk took part in the event. Speakers included Pavlo Klimkin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Orysia Demska, Chair of the National Commission for State Language Standards, author of the "Liberal Arts" idea, Oleksandr Solontai, expert at the Institute of Political Education, and Myroslava Tovkalo, head of educational programs at the Creative International Children's School.

Teachers and managers spoke with speakers about educational challenges, modern tools for working with the group, creating an OTG brand and finding opportunities.

💬 “Changes in education begin with ourselves. As a young specialist, I strive to find new approaches to motivate my students and develop myself. It is valuable that at events such as "Liberal Arts", we can communicate directly with experts in education, learn from their experience and implement something new.”, – says Daria Matsyuk, a teacher of mathematics and computer science at the secondary school № 15 in Lutsk.

💬 “It was important for me to talk about the mission and importance of the teacher, which society may not always notice. Our mission is to show the way to students and try to think outside the box with them. To see not only excellent students, but also those students who do not have time for the program. This thought of Orissa Demska resonated with me the most”, – says Ivan Noska, director of a school in the village of Ozero, Lutsk district, Volyn region.

“Liberal arts: Leadership in education” for 5 years united about 1500 teachers of Kiev, Lviv, Mariupol, Nikolaev and Khmelnytsky region.

The forum was held with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Center for National Sustainability and Development, the Department Store of Education, Ukraine NOW.
